The Grand Portage Reservation is at the northeastern tip of Minnesota. The Air Quality Program has many ongoing projects in order to maintain healthy indoor and outdoor air. These projects include monitoring for regional haze and particulate matter, indoor air quality, invasive plant removal, public outreach, environmental education, alternative energy, and climate change.

BAM 1020


Well, the BAM 1020 came back from the factory yesterday. I set it up and started sampling. If you have checked the Hazecam, then you saw that a really high fine particle count is posted for Grand Portage. The BAM is reading a very high concentration of particulate matter, unlike any where else in the state. So, I am doing maintenance on the BAM, trying to figure out why it is reading such a high count. I hope to get this problem figured out soon, so stay tuned.

By the way, it is just a gorgeous day here in Grand Portage!
